These requirements include, for example:

  • Improvement of growth/earnings

  • Increased protection against pests

  • Optimal use of existing nutrients

Optimisation of existing products for soil improvement (e.g. fertilisers)

Development of an individual product for soil improvement according to customer requirements

In the case of existing products, there is often the possibility of optimization. This can be achieved in 2 ways:

  • Through targeted supplementation of suitable microorganisms

  • By improving the properties of microorganisms already contained (no GMOs!)

Workflow

Microbiome analysis

In the first step, we analyze soil samples using state-of-the-art sequencing technology. This is how we determine the microorganisms it contains, the microbiome.

Optimization

Once the composition of the microbiome is known, we use our databases to identify suitable candidates that can be added to achieve e.g. planth growth improvement.

Product analysis

In the first step, we analyze the existing product for one component and determine how an improvement can be achieved.

Optimization by supplementation

For the subsequent improvement of the product, we identify candidates that are suitable for addition to the existing product.

Optimization by enhancement

Here, we specifically select variants of microorganisms already contained for improved properties such as better nitrogen fixation.

Prototype

Once all the necessary data has been collected, we develop a prototype for use at the customer's site.
